The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the vulnerability of rural areas, particularly regarding young people’s inclusion in local systems, education, and training opportunities.
One of the European Union’s Youth Goals is to “Engage, Connect and Empower Young People”, ensuring greater youth participation in democratic life, as well as social and civic engagement.
The project therefore aims to raise awareness and enhance young people’s knowledge and skills, enabling them to actively participate in community-led local development activities.
Young people living in rural areas across Europe will be empowered to contribute to local networks and structures, while building resilience and sustainability by acting locally to create a global impact.
